40/40 CUARENTA MALBEC LUCAS PFISTER 14.5% 2020

40/40 Cuarenta Malbec, Organic, Bold Classic Malbec from Mendoza, subtle hints of oak with touches of vanilla, spice and dark currants. This is a blend of two parcels of Malbec, one richer from deeper clay soils and the other from a parcel with some clay but also a high percentage of gravels. The grapes are manually harvested in 20 kg boxes, destemmed with (7-10%) whole bunch, followed by a stainless vat fermentation with maceration on skins for twenty days. Ferment is ambient with native yeasts and the wine is matured in used barrels of 225 litres for 12 months. No fining, a light filtration and a small amountof sulphur used. A truly superb Mendoza Malbec with plenty of fruit and intensity yet with the delicious freshness that comes from natural production. 750ml Bottle
