Judith Beck OUT Blaufrankish/Zweigelt 12.5% (2020)

Lively, fresh and very approachable natural red from Austria. Out means outside the Norm because the appellation system considered the wine unusual for Burgenland.  Judith just pulled ‘OUT’ of it.  This is a great example of how Austrian wines can have both finesse and drinkability, a delicious medium bodied red made from Blaufränkisch & Zweigelt with plenty of berry fruit and natural verve. The tannins are soft and the finish is spicy and fruity, not at all funky. The fermentation is natural in large wooden barrels.  The wine undergoes natural malolactic which softens the palate and adds a creamy texture.  Judith Beck OUT contains energy and tension and you can enjoy it on its own or with all types of food.
