About Us

We're beer lovers & former brewers from the Lake District who love all things beery… so in 2017, we thought, why not open a beer shop? And thus, Beer Ambleside was born! Fast forward a few years, and we now stock over 250 independently brewed craft and local beers — because one kind of beer is never enough.

But here’s the thing: beer isn’t our only love. Along the way, we discovered a soft spot for Mead and Natural Wine. So, yes, it’s not just beer anymore — it’s a whole world of liquid deliciousness waiting to be explored. In hindsight, maybe we should of gone with a different shop name. 

We’re a tiny, proudly independent Cumbrian business, run by two humans (and occasionally assisted by Audrey, our lovable La’al Jewkle (small dog, in case you were wondering, who keeps us on our toes).
